The International House community was saddened to learn of the passing of Ruth W. Houghton, who died December 28, 2020 in Great Barrington, MA at age 92. Mrs. Houghton was a Life Trustee on the I-House Board of Trustees. A native New Yorker, Mrs. Houghton served on the boards of numerous cultural and non-profit organizations including the New York State Council on the Arts, Lincoln Center, New York Shakespeare Festival, and the Fresh Air Fund. Elected to the I-House Board in 1970, she was an active member of the Programs and Development committees in the 1970s and 80s, and is remembered fondly by all who knew or worked with her.
