International House Remembers Tatsuro Toyoda ’58
It is with great sadness that we have learned of the passing of Tatsuro Toyoda, an International House Alumnus (’58) who went on to lead his family’s company, Toyota Motor Corp., to become one of the world’s leading automakers.
Toyoda lived at I-House in 1958 while studying at Columbia University after earning his MBA at New York University. He was named an International Trustee in 1991 and served as Honorary Chair of the World Council of Alumni Meeting in Tokyo in October 2012. Toyoda and the Toyota Motor Corp. have been longtime, generous supporters of I-House and its mission.
Our thoughts and prayers are with Mr. Toyoda’s family and our friends at Toyota.
