Canadian Friends of International House (Les Amis Canadiens) was founded in 1993 by several I-House alumni to assist with the recruitment of residents and networking and fundraising among alumni in Canada. In the past, Canadian Friends has hosted alumni gatherings in Montreal, Ottawa, and Toronto.
